I implement Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) , which involves applying gentle stressors to very young animals for short periods of time. It is thought to improve their stress responses later in life.
Puppies are hand raised inside with family. They get full care and training, they are taught to have interest in prey and food, socialization with children, men and dogs. Potty training, crate training and recall will be started. They will be suitable for sports cynology, the police work. They will be suitable as a family member, protector of people and property. The puppies are under constant veterinary supervision, regularly dewormed, vaccinated and they will be chipped.
Delivery available within two hours of Tampa, Florida. Other shipping options available. Deposit required for delivery and balance due upon arrival with your puppy.
If I don’t have what you want I can recommend a breeder. Please keep in mind that this breed is costly to purchase, maintain, train and vet and puppy prices will reflect that. I encourage you to check a shelter or a rescue but remember that it can be difficult and expensive to fix a health or behavior issue and there are no guarantees. Not all German Shepherds are created equal.
Adopting or rescuing a dog from an unknown past can be incredibly rewarding, but there are several reasons to exercise caution:
1. **Behavioral Issues**: Dogs with unknown histories may have been poorly treated or inadequately trained, leading to aggressive, fearful, or unpredictable behavior.
2. **Health Concerns**: These dogs might have undiagnosed health problems or may not be up to date on vaccinations, which could lead to significant veterinary expenses and potential risks to other pets.
3. **Special Needs**: Some dogs might have special needs or require specific types of care due to past traumas, which could be challenging for new owners to manage without proper preparation.
4. **Socialization Challenges**: Dogs from unknown backgrounds may not have been properly socialized with other animals or humans, requiring extra time, patience, and resources to integrate them into a new environment.
5. **Training Requirements**: These dogs might need extensive training to unlearn undesirable behaviors and to learn basic commands, which can be time-consuming and require professional assistance.
6. **Unknown Triggers**: Past experiences can leave dogs with triggers that cause anxiety or aggression, and these triggers might not be immediately apparent, posing potential risks to family members and other pets.
7. **Adjustment Period**: Dogs with unknown pasts might take longer to adjust to a new home, requiring a lot of patience and understanding from their new owners.
Being aware of these potential challenges can help ensure a smoother transition and a more positive experience for both the dog and the adopter.
